Qualcomm announces two new Snapdragon chips for on-device AI
On September 22, Qualcomm introduced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Both use a 2nm process and target on-device AI, imaging and gaming.
The company emphasizes personalized AI agents and lists planned phones from brands including Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo and HONOR. The chip announcement does not establish every handset’s launch date or enabled AI features.
