Qwen releases an image model that creates and edits transparent assets
On September 20, the Qwen team announced Qwen-Image-2.1, unifying image generation and editing, including direct creation and editing of transparent images.
The visual generation component has seven billion parameters. Official examples show up to ten references, region-based edits and extracting transparent subjects from photos. These examples and performance claims come from the developer.
